Mothers and Sons
Today I made this piece, the figures are made with watercolor pencils.
This was a fun technique which I expect to use again. The piece measures about a foot square. It is not quilted yet.

Escape
Here's my May Art Quilt for the SAQA group. It's called Escape. I had the circles left over from another project, and then embellished with heavy gold thread circles, by filling the bobbin with the thread and sewing from the wrong side of the piece. The circles seem to be coming out from under the left side batik, hence the name escape. One circle has already made it to freedom! The piece is one foot square.Wednesday, May 02, 2007
Spring on Anna Maria Island
Couldn't resist making this piece to reflect all the wonderful colors of spring on Anna Maria Island. Flowering oleander, bougainvilla, plummeria, hibiscus, and many other shrubs and trees are everywhere! This piece gives a sense of the sights of all that color and the bright green foliage too. Chris
